Assistant Chemist

The Assistant Chemist uses analytical skills in performing specialized lab tests at our factory.

• In the absence of other lab personnel, including the Factory Chemist, ensure required lab tests are performed and results recorded.
• Perform tests and record results.
• Responsible for the day‑to‑day operation of the lab and maintain all laboratory records.
• Prepare and standardize solutions.
• Conduct sugar and by‑product analysis.
• Perform routine lab maintenance, including troubleshooting and basic repair and maintenance of laboratory instrumentation and equipment.

• High School Diploma or GED certificate required.
• 4‑Year College Degree in Chemistry, Biology, or related science (including two years of chemistry coursework).
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to reference, read, and understand MSDS information.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to direct and supervise lab personnel.

$34.26 per hour.
