Security Access Control Technician Journeyman – Ray, North Dakota

Large industrial construction project in the Ray/Williston area requires a reliable and professional individual to support site access control and security operations.

• Control access to the project through designated entry gates.
• Verify identification and site authorization for employees, contractors, vendors, and visitors.
• Maintain visitor logs and issue temporary access credentials.
• Monitor parking areas to ensure compliance with project parking procedures.
• Direct vehicles and visitors to appropriate parking or access locations.
• Observe and report unusual or unauthorized activity on project premises.
• Notify project management, supervisors, or local law enforcement when necessary.
• Maintain a visible presence at entry points and project access areas.
• Document and report incidents involving access control or site security concerns.
• Assist project leadership in maintaining an orderly and professional site environment.
• Assist with visual inspections of bags, containers, or vehicles leaving the site under project security procedures.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in site security, access control, or gate monitoring in industrial environments preferred.
• Strong communication and customer‑service skills.
• Ability to remain attentive and professional in a high‑activity work environment.
• Ability to follow procedures and maintain accurate records.
• Must be able to interact professionally with workers, vendors, and visitors.

• Work outdoors in varying North Dakota weather conditions.
• Stand or walk for extended periods.
• Observe site conditions and monitor vehicle and pedestrian traffic.

• Complete all required project safety training and comply with all project HSE rules and procedures.
• Pass required pre‑employment screenings (drug and alcohol and OSHA 10 or OSHA 30).
• Have reliable transportation to the project site.

This position is located on a large industrial construction project and involves working outdoors and interacting regularly with construction personnel, vendors, and visitors entering or exiting the site.

Security personnel assigned to this role function in an observe, assist, and report capacity. They do not perform law enforcement duties and do not exercise police authority.
