Journeyman or Apprentice Electrical Line Worker

OTP is seeking a full-time Journeymen or Apprentice Electrical Line Worker to be temporarily located in Harvey, ND.

• Maintain or repair overhead and underground electrical distribution and transmission systems and substations.
• Frame and erect poles and attach necessary fixtures and equipment.
• String, sag, and splice conductors (wires) and connect transformers and other equipment.
• Trim trees and replace equipment such as broken insulators, split crossarms, cutouts, ties, faulty clamps or braces, and perform similar replacement or repair work to clear storm damage.

• Diploma from an accredited line worker program and a valid, unrestricted interstate commercial driver’s license.
• Knowledge of electric line construction, maintenance, and repair; ability to work outdoors in any weather; ability to climb; solid understanding of safety rules.
• Willingness to learn to use electrical instruments, operate hydraulic equipment, and work from an aerial basket.
• Residence within 25 miles of the Harvey, ND headquarters.

• Base compensation expected to be in the range of $79,000 – $103,000 USD annually; actual base compensation within the range will vary based on position-relevant factors.
