General Labor, Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, Heavy Equipment Mechanic
Job Purpose:
Reporting to the Coordinator, the Operator is responsible for driving, operating, and maintaining necessary equipment. The Operator will also be responsible for assembling and preparing equipment for installation and service, performing equipment inspections and possible maintenance, assist in monitoring equipment activity, contribute to safe rigging in of equipment, and providing safe work practices. CDL is required.
Tasks/ Duties/ Responsibilities:
• Responsible for driving and operating all equipment
• Performs rigging in/out duties for equipment during and after service
• Lifts, carries, moves, and assembles iron, pipe, hose, and equipment to and from trucks and well site
• Reviews daily equipment readings and completes daily tallies and checklists
• Monitors control panels to gauge pressure, temperature, flow, RMPs, and other diagnostic
information of equipment
• Participates in and monitor execution of job/service
• With direction from Supervisors/Maintenance, makes adjustments to increase/decrease pressure, temperature, and fluid
• Assists with calculating and moving chemicals
• Acts as a mentor to Operator-in-Training level employees. Assists in training and provides guidance
on safe and effective operations procedures
• Maintains pickup, forklift, truck, and equipment to Gtuit standards and ensures all PPE is in proper
working order
• Inspects pickup/truck/trailer equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, diesel, oil, and water as well as pre/post trip
• Conducts maintenance and inspections of flare gas and equipment connections
• Completes maintenance inspections, checklist inspections, and assist with services on equipment
• Troubleshoot any problems with equipment and ensures all defective parts get repaired
Completes required paperwork and submits it to the appropriate parties accurately and on time
• Promote, GTUIT safety standards at all times: shop, yard, location, and while traveling
• Reports hazards or potentially hazardous situations, accidents, incidents, and injuries immediately to
the supervisor
• Attends safety meetings
• All other assigned duties
Work Environment/ Physical Abilities:
While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions. The Employee is regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles; toxic chemicals; risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the environment is moderate to loud. Employee may be exposed to flammable gas or liquids. While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, and walk;
use finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms, lift up to SO pounds. Occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl; talk, hear, smell; and lift 100 pounds. The vision requirements include: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent Commercial Driver License (CDL) 1 + years oilfield experience or equivalent Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Strong attention to detail Strong math skills Ability to work as part of a team; strong sense of teamwork Problem recognition and solving skills Attention to detail Highly safety conscious Highly motivated Ability to work a fluctuating work schedule and travel 100% of the time.
Salary/Compensation: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour
