Location: Watford City

Position Summary

Field Technician – Full‑Time – Non‑Exempt – Hourly – Located in Watford City, ND – Reports to Project Supervisor.

Essential Functions
  • Safely operate field equipment and vehicles in compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Provide on‑call emergency response services for hazardous and non‑hazardous waste spills, site remediation, waste management tasks, confined space entry, and tank cleaning following safety guidelines and protocols.
  • Perform strenuous physical activities, including lifting and moving heavy equipment and materials, while adhering to safety standards.
  • Accurately complete and submit timesheets, vehicle logs, and other required documentation in a timely manner.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in and around the office, yards, warehouses, and trucks to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Handle, package, and transport hazardous materials according to regulatory guidelines; conduct site assessments to identify potential environmental hazards; assist in labeling, storage, and documentation of hazardous waste; use field instruments to monitor hazardous material levels.
  • Participate in regular safety training, including hazmat handling and emergency response drills.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to hazardous materials and waste.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Minimum

Job Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license with no restrictions.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain certifications required for confined space entry and hazardous material handling.
  • Strong commitment to safety and compliance.
  • Excellent physical stamina and the ability to perform heavy lifting and manual labor.
  • Flexibility to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
  • Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
Preferred

Job Requirements
  • Bilingual proficiency is strongly preferred.
  • Previous experience in hazardous waste management, spill response, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with operating and maintaining field equipment.
  • Basic knowledge of environmental regulations and safety protocols.
Work Environment

This position involves work in various environments, including hazardous conditions, confined spaces, and outdoor settings. The role requires adherence to strict safety guidelines and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Work Schedule

Willing and available to work overtime as needed, including weekends and holidays, to meet project demands and deadlines.
