Job Summary The primary responsibility of R.D Offutt Farms Seasonal Piler Operator is to drive and run a skid steer operator in a safe and efficient manner while contributing to the pace of the harvest line. This individual works well in a team environment.

Job Summary The primary responsibility of R.D Offutt Farms Seasonal Piler Operator is to drive and run a skid steer operator in a safe and efficient manner while contributing to the pace of the harvest line. This individual works well in a team environment.

Job Duties

• Maintain a flat and level potato pile while running a skid steer operator
• Must maintain less than an eight-inch drop for potatoes
• Perform preventative maintenance and light repairs on equipment
• Follow tasks and directions given by crew leader
• Communicate effectively with management and other team members
• Assist in the maintenance of buildings and equipment ensuring they are in appropriate condition
• Follow all safety rules and regulations while performing work assignments and adhere to all policies and procedures as specified in company manuals and as directed in the employee handbook
• Conduct self in the presence of customers and community so as to present a professional image of R.D. Offutt Farms
• Proactively seek and participate in available company-sponsored training, in an effort to develop and advance knowledge base and skill set
• Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers, management, and support resources, with a constant commitment to teamwork and exemplary customer service
• Perform all other duties as assigned by management in a professional and efficient manner

Job Requirements

• Must have reliable transportation to and from work
• Willingness to work outside
• Ability to meet physical requirements of the positions with or without accommodation
• Walk on uneven ground at the farm locations
• Must be able to work overtime during harvest season or as the need arises
• Experience with farm or heavy equipment operation preferred
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Candiates must have valid work authorization and be able to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship
