About This RoleWork will consist of installations, alterations, additions and/or repairs of electrical systems, and associated materials and equipment within the high‑voltage transmission and substation electrical industry. Perform duties necessary to complete assigned tasks under the direct supervision of a Project Supervisor. Keep all materials, tools and equipment in an orderly fashion and maintain a clean work area at all times, demonstrating safe work habits and proper care for tools and equipment.
PayThis is a non‑exempt hourly role. The pay range is $27.69–$46.86 per hour.
What You’ll Do- Assist with the construction, framing, and installation of transmission structures, hardware, and components.
- Climb wood and steel structures using proper climbing techniques and fall‑protection equipment.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and basic equipment used in line construction.
- Install and maintain conductors, insulators, guy wires, and grounding systems.
- Support stringing, sagging, and tensioning operations under supervision.
- Perform basic troubleshooting and assist with repairs on energized and de‑energized lines (within apprentice‑level restrictions).
- Read and interpret construction drawings, staking sheets, and work orders.
- Maintain a clean and organized job site, ensuring tools and materials are properly handled.
- Follow all company safety rules, OSHA regulations, and industry best practices.
- Participate in ongoing training, skills assessments, and apprenticeship program requirements.
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1–3 years of experience in transmission or distribution line work
- Valid class A CDL
- Line School Certificate or transcripts preferred
