Schedule:
Monday-Friday with weekend on-call rotation
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Rental Fleet Mechanic to inspect, maintain, diagnose, and repair a fleet of rental equipment and vehicles. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, experience working on diesel and gas-powered equipment, and a commitment to safety, quality, and minimizing equipment downtime.
Key Responsibilities- Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled service on rental fleet equipment.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and engine-related issues.
- Conduct equipment inspections before and after rentals.
- Troubleshoot and repair diesel and gasoline-powered engines.
- Maintain detailed service and repair records.
- Ensure all equipment meets company safety standards and manufacturer specifications.
- Perform welding, fabrication, and minor body repairs as needed.
- Coordinate parts ordering and inventory management.
- Respond to field service calls when required.
- Keep the shop and work area clean, organized, and safe.
- Communicate equipment status and repair needs to management.
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2+ years of mechanical repair experience.
- Knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and heavy equipment maintenance.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to operate diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various weather conditions.
- Technical school or diesel mechanic certification.
- Experience with construction, oilfield, agricultural, or rental equipment.
