Maintenance Technician

The Maintenance Technician,IIis responsible forthe maintenance, repair, and safe operation of building systems and infrastructure withinassignedportfolio. This role ensures that all systems—including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and life safety—are functioning efficiently and in compliance with healthcare regulations. The technician plays a critical role inmaintaininga safe, clean, and operational environment for patients, staff, and visitors.

• Complete and accurately record all maintenance work orders according to priority and company policies.
• Understand building plans and specifications at each location within portfolio.
• Calculate amounts of required materials, and cost estimates based on workorder and other relevant factors.
• Maintain inventory onmaterials used on projectsandrepairs.
• Complete assigned work according to best practice and director from supervisor.
• Perform routine, non-licensed electrical inspections;troubleshoot and test electrical equipment for safety and efficiency using various testing instruments.
• Replace receptacles, wall switches, light fixtures, ceiling fans, kitchen hoods, ballasts, light bulbs, etc.
• Coordinate major electrical repairs and maintenance with qualified electrician, as directed by the Supervisor or Manager of Facilities
• Perform minor plumbing repairs, such as faucet replacements, toilet installations, disposals, outlets, and light fixtures.
• Conductscheduledinspections on building systems and propertyidentifybest solutions for remedy.
• Maintain all HVAC systems and associated equipment.
• Maintain company equipment, ensuring proper care, inventory, and functionality.
• Assistin the coordination of renovations, preventative maintenance, and capital improvement projects.
• Carry the emergency maintenance phone on a rotating schedule.
• Assist with snow and iceremovalas necessary.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs or installations
• Support emergency preparedness efforts, including backup power systems and evacuation procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Comply withlaws,regulations, policies, and procedures under whichthe program and company operates.
• Assistin crisis situations as appropriate.
• Maintainaccurateandup-to-date documentationthatensurescompliance with all agency policies and procedures and local, state, and federal regulationsandrequirements.
• Follow safety protocols, including handling hazardous materials, water contaminants, and biohazards.
• Adhere to HIPAA, fire regulations, and compliance standards for facility operations.
• Understandsafetyregulations and evacuation procedures;participate in regular safety drills in compliance withprogrampolicies and procedures.
• Completeassignedemployee training in compliance with program and company requirements.
• Provide guidance, support, and training to other staff in alignment with company mission and values.
• Participate in all scheduled staff meetings, supervision sessions, and other departmental andcompanymeetings.

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.

Technical certification or associate degree in building maintenance, HVAC, or related field

Minimum 5 years of experience…
