Location:
Forbes, MN or Eveleth, MN. Cleveland-Cliffs has an immediate opening for an Electronic Instrumentation Technician. This position will oversee various technical functions. Safety is of utmost importance. Work may be in a shop environment or out in the field.
- Inspect, repair, and wire all electrical and/or electronic apparatus, devices, and circuits of any voltage in the mine, plant, or assigned areas; including power transmission lines, transformers, and related equipment.
- Install, repair, calibrate, test, and adjust any type of integrating, indicating, controlling, or graphic electrical, pneumatic, or mechanical instrument.
- Work schedules may vary to provide 24/7 coverage for the facility.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Completion of an accredited electrical training or apprenticeship program 4 years of relevant experience.
- Experience with in an industrial production environment.
- May be required to work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, to ensure 24-hour coverage, 7 days per week during major repairs or as needed.
- Regular attendance is an essential requirement.
- Must be able to physically perform all these responsibilities safely: walk on uneven surfaces, climb equipment, operate pickup, and other small fleet vehicles, etc.
The pay rate for this role is $41.504 - $43.177/hour.
