Warehouse Operations Specialist S2

Support continuous improvement and best practices in all aspects of Warehouse Operations, under the direction of the Warehouse Supervisor and Manager. Responsible for site‑specific Air & Ocean Container Freight Stations (CFS), Foreign Trade Zones (FTZ), Distribution, Crossborder and all interdepartmental warehouse products.

• Load/unload floor loads or palletized freight on and off trucks.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, pickers, reach‑trucks (propane & electric) safely and compliantly.
• Receive and sort inventories by SKU, customer, PO#, etc.; process damage exceptions.
• Operate radio‑frequency (RF) or Bluetooth handheld devices.
• Handle and sort returns or inbound freight and record in WMS.
• Remove selected cartons from shipments for customs inspection and/or re‑forwarding.
• Accurately process Small Parcel / Ship Manager and train others.
• Pick and pack individual units from master cartons; repack to prevent cargo damage.
• Maintain an organized and safe work area.
• Notify supervisors and local management of safety issues or equipment/building concerns.
• Record inventory levels and verify counts for billing activities.
• Set up and establish accounts in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
• Identify and resolve problems that could delay freight movement; advise customer service of carrier issues.
• Manage customer‑specific shipping activities, including picking orders/fulfillment.
• Operate the WMS (RF handheld specific).
• Reconcile paperwork and cargo on both shipping and receiving.
• Lead cycle counts to ensure inventory integrity.
• Direct temporary labor in the above functions.
• Handle cartons for ULD Build / Breakdown.
• Handle cartons for CCSF Screening.
• Work multiple accounts and understand varying SOPs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• One year of relevant warehouse or related experience.
• Preferred:
  International freight forwarding or warehouse operations experience.
• Good knowledge of distribution activities.
• Excellent communication and comprehension skills.
• Strong organizational skills for freight compliance.
• Ability to be certified on all MHEs within the facility (forklifts, pickers, reach‑trucks, propane & electric).
• Basic math skills.
• Safety‑conscious judgment.
• Ability to lift 30 lbs routinely and heavier with assistance.
• Ability to work within a schedule and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
• When applicable, must have a valid driver license and comply with DOT regulations, including a physical exam and be at least 21 years old.
• When applicable, must have valid travel documentation (passport) for border crossing.
• Must have completed DG awareness training.
• TSA certified to operate in a CCSF site.
• Knowledge of CFS and/or FTZ operations (site specific).
• Preferred: US Air & Ocean Export/Import operational processes.

Pay range: $21.47 – $29.68 USD hourly. Eligible for health, vision, and dental insurance, retirement plan, tuition reimbursement, and potential bonus or premium pay.

Operating hours:
Sunday – Thursday, 1:00 pm – 9:30 pm.
