Winch Truck Driver

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a variety of trucks, including tractor-trailers, delivery trucks, roll-off trucks, and tankers
• Transport goods and materials to and from specified destinations
• Load and unload cargo using forklifts or other equipment as necessary
• Follow all traffic laws and regulations while operating the vehicle
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and perform basic maintenance tasks such as checking oil levels, tire pressure, and brakes
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel usage
• Communicate with dispatchers and other team members to coordinate delivery schedules

• Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements
• Proven experience as a truck driver or similar role
• Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles
• Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures for commercial driving
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading cargo

• Strong understanding of winch truck operations and winching techniques
• Ability to operate, troubleshoot, and perform basic repairs on winch truck systems and equipment
• Comprehensive knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in oil and gas field operations
• Ability to recognize and mitigate potential hazards and ensure a safe working environment
• Effective verbal communication skills to coordinate with team members and report issues clearly
• Ability to follow instructions accurately and provide feedback on operational challenges
• Good physical condition to handle the demands of lifting, securing, and maneuvering heavy equipment and materials
• Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including extreme temperatures and rough terrain
• Strong problem‑solving skills to address mechanical issues, logistical challenges, and operational obstacles
• Ability to make quick and informed decisions in emergencies
• Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accurate load securing, equipment maintenance, and compliance with safety standards
• Careful documentation of operational and maintenance activities

• Experience driving refrigerated trailers or tankers is a plus
• Familiarity with operating roll‑off trucks or forklifts is an advantage
