Job Summary
CDL A Delivery Driver in Drayton, ND. This hybrid role combines driving and operational duties that shift with seasonal and business needs. The driver supports farmers, ranchers, feed & seed stores, and refineries by transporting essential products and building lasting customer relationships in a safe and professional manner.
Responsibilities- Prepare trucks and railcars for loading/unloading, including sampling, loosening large nuts, opening hatches, and attaching or detaching flexible hoses.
- Load and unload agricultural inputs from railcars and/or trucks using heavy or light‑duty machinery and equipment.
- Conduct and record repairs and mandatory daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance tasks.
- Regularly inspect in‑use equipment.
- Monitor and maintain the quality of inventory, whether blended, bulk, or packaged.
- Deliver products such as fertilizer, chemicals, seed, feed, and other goods to customer sites, ensuring accurate, on‑time deliveries in a safe, timely, and professional manner.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws, including pre‑trip and post‑trip reporting, proper load securement, and hours‑of‑service regulations.
- Keep all work areas and vehicles clean, orderly, and safe.
- Perform housekeeping duties such as sweeping, shoveling, power washing, scraping, and cleaning up spills.
- Maintain appropriate record keeping.
- Perform grounds maintenance, including snow removal.
- Perform warehouse duties, driving loaders, loading/unloading inventory, forklift operation, and general maintenance.
- Report customer complaints, maintenance needs, or safety concerns promptly to the supervisor.
- Promote and uphold a strong safety culture by following all mandatory safety procedures and protocol.
- Identify, communicate, and help mitigate workplace hazards.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety mandates.
- Perform any additional duties as required to maintain smooth facility operation and superior customer service.
- 1+ year of experience in Operations and/or Trucking Operations.
- Valid CDL Class
A. - Must meet mandatory minimum age requirement.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Must be able to obtain or already possess a CDL and DOT medical card.
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate proficiently in English.
- Willingness to work extra hours and occasional weekends.
- Agriculture background preferred.
- Customer service experience preferred.
- Experience with bulk liquid, pressure trailer, or forklift operations preferred.
