HGV Driving Trainer must be able to access two teaching sites to train and assess students for a rapidly expanding Driving Academy. The two locations are Watford and Leighton Buzzard, and the successful candidate will be required to travel between both yards. Therefore, the candidate’s home location should be geographically suitable to allow regular access to both sites.
Responsibilities- Deliver training and assessment for HGV drivers across two sites and support learners to obtain their licences.
- Manage lessons in 4-hour blocks
, typically two blocks per day, with an optional additional block if workload requires. - Coordinate with schedule to operate on standard working days (Monday – Friday) with weekend work available if desired; shifts to be agreed at interview.
- Travel between Watford and Leighton Buzzard as part of the role.
- Class 1 Licence is required, with good experience and knowledge of driving Class 1 vehicles
- Must have held a HGV Licence for at least 5 years and have a full, ideally clean licence
- Previous training experience is extremely desirable
Pay is GBP
20 per hour with potential for GBP
25 per hour for additional lessons upsold by the Trainer. Working days are Monday – Friday, with weekend work available if desired; shifts will be agreed upon interview.
