Job OverviewAs a Field Merchandiser, you'll work independently to showcase your organizational and time‑management skills, establish retailer relationships, and be the face of Hallmark. You will collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement, maintain inventory levels, and support teammates with seasonal resets and installations when needed. You may also work with other products from different companies in the stores you service.
Salaryand Schedule Details
- Your starting pay will be $14.00 to $16.00 depending on your skills and experience.
- Eligible employees receive annual pay increases.
- This is a part‑time position with a variable schedule.
- Average weekly hours are between 9–14 hours.
- Availability the week before and after major holidays, including weekends, is required.
The retail merchandiser position consists of three major components:
- Day‑to‑day engagement:
Using a mobile device, restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark inventory inside and outside the Hallmark department. Communicate with your supervisor, track time, provide feedback, and complete required surveys. - Holiday support:
During peak periods (Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas) expect additional days and extended hours. You may be required to work on the holiday itself. - Department resets:
Participate in installations, relocations, and resets of Hallmark fixtures and card sections. You will receive notice at least two weeks in advance for remodel assignments, which may include evenings or weekends. - Team collaboration:
Support fellow merchandisers in your territory as needed.
Physically demanding work requiring energy and urgency. Must push, pull, lift, and carry cartons, merchandise, and fixtures up to 30 pounds during the day and 50 pounds on occasion. Tasks include kneeling, squatting, walking, standing, climbing stairs, and using step ladders.
Basic Qualifications- At least 18 years of age.
- Ability to read, write, and understand English.
- Capable of lifting up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
- Proficiency with a digital hand‑held device for reading documents and interpreting information.
- Access to Wi‑Fi and internet.
- Reliable transportation to travel between assigned stores.
