Laborer – Department of Public Works - North Haledon Borough.
Is seeking a full-time Laborer for the Department of Public Works. Starting salary is $58,877.35 with benefits and a schedule of Monday-Friday, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm (40 hours/week), and an intended start date on or around October 1, 2026. Responsibilities include construction, maintenance, repair, and cleaning of streets, drains, storm sewers, parks, easements, playgrounds, public facilities, and sanitary sewers; leaf collection;
snow plowing; salting; snow shoveling; and other assigned duties. Heavy manual labor and work in adverse weather conditions are required, along with mandatory overtime during the fall and winter seasons. A valid NJ driver’s license is required. CDL Class A or B is preferred; applicants with a CDL Learner's permit may be considered but must obtain a CDL Class B within one year of hire.
