Graduate Student Affairs Graduate Assistant for Programming
Assist with the planning, coordination, and execution of graduate student programs, workshops, orientations, receptions, and special events. Develop event timelines, planning documents, and task lists to support successful program delivery. Coordinate event logistics, including room reservations, catering requests, and event setup. Manage event registration processes, attendance tracking, and participant communications. Create and distribute promotional materials through email, social media, digital signage, and other communication channels.
Serve as an on-site event coordinator by assisting with check-in, troubleshooting logistical issues, and supporting presenters, guests and Graduate Student Affairs team. Collect and analyze participant feedback and assessment data to evaluate event effectiveness and inform future programming. Maintain event records, attendance reports, and post-event summaries.
Enrollment in a graduate degree program at Quinnipiac University with good standing. Experience planning, coordinating, and executing events, programs, workshops, or student engagement initiatives. Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple event-related tasks and deadlines simultaneously. Experience coordinating event logistics, including registration, marketing, room reservations, catering, and on-site support. Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders, including students, faculty, staff, and external partners.
Up to 10 hours per week during the academic year. Candidates must be available during daytime hours. Some evening or weekend hours may be required to support programming and events.
