North Haven Public Schools is seeking an anticipated long-term Italian substitute teacher.

Location: North Haven High School

Daily Rate: $140 per day; $257.61 per day after the 41st day (only for those that are certified)

Start Date/End Date: To be determined (Around 8-12 weeks)

Responsibilities are as follows:

• Prepares lesson plans that achieve clear objectives, use appropriate techniques and serves the needs of all learners in the classroom
• Demonstrated strong content knowledge
• Maintains accurate and complete records
• Assesses student learning on a continual basis and identifies areas of intervention if needed
• Communicates student progress with parents
• Designs instruction to meet the needs of all learners
• Designs and implements assessments that measure progress
• Maintains a positive learning environment

Qualifications Profile:

• CT State Certification, or certifiability, in Italian, Grades 7-12 (#020), required
