Responsibilities may include the following, and other duties may be assigned.
* Provides engineering support to a manufacturing line after product launch.
* Interfaces with line operators, team leads, production supervisors, and managers to support newly launched product lines.
* Conducts all aspects of process validation.
* Gathers, analyzes, and generates reports on how a manufacturing line performs in production.
* Develops manufacturing SOP and SWI work instructions.
* Monitors performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to verify their efficiency, and investigates and initiates corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure product quality.
* Works with a senior engineer with guidance to design process improvements, including manual tools or upgrades to existing equipment to optimize manufacturing metrics or correct issues found in manufacturing.
* Works with a senior engineer's guidance to develop inspection and test requirements.
* Uses statistics to provide support to manufacturing process development.
* Initiate and champion CDPs
* Design and procure assembly aids and fixtures
* Conduct Design reviews of manual or semi-automated assembly equipment.
* May travel to equipment vendors to support Factory Acceptance Testing activities.
** Required Knowledge and
Experience:
** Requires a Bachelor's degree and minimum of 2 years of experience OR an advance degree with a minimum of 0 years relevant experience.
** Nice to Have
*** Working knowledge of Medtronic North Haven BPCS and Agile systems.
* 1+ Years supporting existing products in a manufacturing environment
* Direct experience conducting various aspects of assembly process validation.
* Working knowledge of Creo or Solid Works a plus
For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.
