Job Overview
The Senior Engineering Manager of Automation – East Region will lead the deployment and execution of advanced automation solutions across regional manufacturing sites. The role focuses on Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs), collaborative robots (cobots), automated cells, and vision systems to improve throughput, quality, and cost performance. The position drives end‑to‑end program execution, leads technical teams, partners with cross‑functional stakeholders, and ensures alignment to validation, quality, and engineering standards.
ResponsibilitiesLead regional automation deployment, translating enterprise automation strategy into site‑level execution. Drive end‑to‑end automation programs, develop engineering talent, and ensure consistent application of standards, validation, and best practices across sites. Build organizational capability, strengthen site engagement, and enable consistent, repeatable automation deployment across the East Region. Manage vendor relationships, select OEMs/integrators, and hold them accountable to scope, timeline, and quality.
QualificationsMust Have (Minimum Qualifications)
- 7+ years of experience with a bachelor’s degree or 5+ years of experience with an advanced degree
- 5+ years of managerial experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Automation systems (AMRs, cobots, cells, vision systems)
- Manufacturing / operations environments
- Project and program management of capital equipment
- Experience with validation lifecycle (IQ/OQ/PQ) in regulated industries
- Demonstrated ability to deliver complex, multi‑site automation programs
- Experience in medical device manufacturing automation deployment
- PMP, Lean Six Sigma, or equivalent certification
- Experience implementing advanced automation technologies and digital integration (MES, data systems)
- Strong vendor management and RFQ / supplier selection experience
