Position OverviewThe Manufacturing & Process Engineer will partner closely with production, maintenance, quality, and leadership teams to optimize manufacturing operations, improve equipment reliability, and lead continuous improvement projects throughout the facility.
This role is highly visible within the organization and offers the opportunity to make a measurable impact on productivity, quality, safety, and operational performance.
Key Responsibilities- Lead manufacturing and process improvement initiatives from concept through implementation.
- Analyze production processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, safety, and throughput.
- Partner with maintenance teams to troubleshoot equipment failures and reduce downtime.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for manufacturing and quality-related issues.
- Develop and maintain process documentation, work instructions, and standard operating procedures.
- Participate in and lead Lean Manufacturing initiatives, including Kaizen events, TPM activities, A3 problem-solving, and 5S programs.
- Evaluate and justify capital equipment investments through ROI and payback analysis.
- Coordinate equipment installations, upgrades, and process improvement projects with internal teams and outside vendors.
- Create and maintain manufacturing layouts and equipment documentation using CAD software.
- Support predictive maintenance and process optimization efforts through data analysis and technology-driven solutions.
- Provide technical support to production, maintenance, quality, and procurement teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years of engineering experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and equipment.
- Experience with root cause analysis, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Proficiency with CAD software and standard engineering tools.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, TPM, Kaizen, or related continuous improvement programs.
- Experience supporting automated manufacturing equipment.
- Knowledge of industrial data collection, predictive maintenance, or IoT technologies.
