Senior Manufacturing Engineer – Responsibilities

• Support in-service operating systems to ensure continued operation and maintenance and optimization throughout.
• Determine, select and implement technically feasible and economically viable alternatives for sustainment.
• Analyze and evaluate how to improve a system and/or equipment's sustainability under continued operation, maintenance and unexpected change.
• Develop design changes to resolve operational issues, introduce new materials and revise product, process and test specifications to enhance product quality, design integrity, reliability and manufacturability.
• Collect and evaluate service use and maintenance data; conduct root‑cause analyses of in‑service problems (e.g., operational hazards, deficiency reports, parts obsolescence, corrosion effects, reliability and maintainability trends, safety hazards, and failure causes and effects) and implement corrective action.

• Bachelors degree in Engineering, Science or Technical field and a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
• Master’s degree in Engineering, Science or Technical field with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience.
• PhD with 0 years relevant experience.
• Engineering degree in Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering.
• Background in manufacturing, designing efficient and productive layout of machines and processes.
• For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.

• ERP (BPCS) system.
• Agile software for change development / change management processes.
• Automated / semi‑automated inspection systems (Cognex, Keyence).
• Automated / semi‑automated assembly processes.
• Manufacturing processes (stamping, machining, metal injection molding, plastic injection molding).
• Continuous improvement, process control, GD&T.
