Medtronic is a global leader in healthcare technology focused on improving lives worldwide. This role is part of the R&D Team in the Wound Management division, developing new wound closure products for customers.
Responsibilities- Design, develop, analyze, troubleshoot, and provide technical skills during research and product development.
- Design studies to investigate root causes or identify process parameters.
- Support product development activities.
- Provide feedback on machine design and prototypes.
- Design fixturing for manufacturing equipment or testing.
- Create prototype test samples.
- Support the voice of customer and pre‑clinical studies.
- Prepare and track test samples.
- Assist in DOE planning and execution.
- Perform statistical analysis and present results.
- Compose engineering reports.
- Research technical and procedural topics and report findings to groups.
- Work in R&D laboratories and manufacturing facilities.
- Bachelor’s Degree with 2+ years of experience
- Advanced Degree with 0+ years of experience
- Degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science & Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Biomedical Engineering
- Practical experience in the following areas:
- Suture and/or needle test methods
- Equipment and/or test fixture design
- Polymer development and manufacturing
- Fiber extrusion
- Textile manufacturing
- Material characterization
Development and manufacturing of combination products - Experience in the medical device industry
- Knowledge of Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Demonstrated ability to meet project schedules and timelines
- Team oriented, collaborative across cross‑functional teams
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Benefits & CompensationSalary range (U.S., excl. PR): $88,800.00 – $. Additional incentives include the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).
