A Day in the LifeAs the Principal Financial Analyst supporting part of the Cardiovascular portfolio, the role helps support the end‑to‑end inventory and SOGL planning and execution for the operating units (OU). The analyst provides financial support and business partnering to Supply Chain and OU leadership to drive financial results, including inventory optimization and strategic inventory/SOGL initiatives. The role partners across the finance organization, maintains a strong control environment, analyzes financial performance, leads forecasting/planning, and actively engages management.
Responsibilities- Support financial reporting, close processes, planning, analysis, and cost accounting for parts of the Cardiovascular portfolio.
- Deliver accurate and clear financial results and comparisons at period end.
- Support inventory and SOGL accounting activities and collaborate with COEs and other portfolios.
- Partner with COEs during the financial forecasting and planning processes (rolling forecasts, LBEs, AOP, strategic plan, etc.).
- Analyze financial performance, communicate results, and maintain active engagement with management.
- Incorporate key operational projects into forecasts, analyses, and target considerations.
- Support portfolio strategy modeling and business case evaluation.
- Provide business partnering, financial reporting, and decision support to the Global Supply Chain Inventory and Planning team and the Cardiovascular portfolio team.
- Analyze and interpret financial performance, recommend inventory and SOGL improvements, and establish targets.
- Partner with Supply Chain to drive initiatives improving operating performance (inventory health, turns, SOGL metrics).
- Partner with Supply Chain finance teams, COEs, and leadership to harmonize financial practices, policies, and changes across the network.
- Implement and maintain internal control procedures, policies, and practices to ensure proper custody of corporate assets and accurate reporting.
- Support other ad‑hoc and standard reporting processes as necessary.
Minimum Requirements
Requires a Baccalaureate degree and minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
Nice to Have- BA/BS in Finance or Accounting with Supply Chain Finance experience.
- Experience with financial/reporting systems (e.g., SAP, Hyperion/Essbase, One Stream, PowerBI).
- Experience leading and operating within a complex organization with various levels of management.
- Strong results orientation and bias for action, with initiative and self‑motivation.
- Ability to translate ideas and financial results into concise presentations for senior management.
