About the Operations Manager
Stord is looking for an Operations Manager with strong communication skills and experience leading teams. The role requires overseeing inventory accuracy, warehouse operations, budgeting, and staffing, while driving performance and quality standards.
Responsibilities- Oversee day‑to‑day operations of the entire fulfillment center, including inbound flow, put‑away, outbound, B2C/B2B, and returns.
- Lead and develop Area Managers, operations leads, and warehouse associates to meet daily goals.
- Set and maintain operational KPIs: warehouse location accuracy, dock‑to‑stock, outbound SLA, order productivity, and personnel productivity.
- Oversee inventory accuracy and support quality assurance activities related to the ICQA process area, ensuring compliance with SOPs, audit readiness, and GMP standards where applicable.
- Manage budgeting and payroll (operational P&L).
- Develop schedules and staffing plans.
- Ensure operational success during new client launches.
- Co‑coach all Area Managers, leads, and associates.
- Partner with cross‑functional teams (industrial engineering, solutions engineering, customer quality, implementations).
- Collaborate with support staff (HR, Safety, Customer Service, other Ops Leaders) to drive results.
- Address operational and personnel issues affecting functional areas.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a high‑volume direct‑to‑consumer environment in a manager‑level role or higher.
- Experience leading salaried teams of 5 or more and teams of 60 or more non‑exempt employees.
- Experience running and leading a highly technical operation, including automation.
- Experience in a 200,000‑sq‑ft facility or larger.
- Experience in operational startups or change‑management projects.
- Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) from a configuration and troubleshooting perspective.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel.
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience; advanced degrees preferred.
- Previous leadership experience and strong organizational and time‑management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to interact with all levels of management.
- Ability to transport up to 20 lbs., perform basic mathematics, and operate material handling equipment such as forklifts.
- Capacity to work in a distribution center environment with variable heights, temperatures, and noise levels; occasional overtime or non‑standard work hours as needed.
- Bilingual (Spanish and English).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Certificate or degree in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain/Logistics, Business Administration, or related fields.
- Experience with process improvements (Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen).
