Pay: $20-$21 per hour

7am to 3:30PM
Days:
Monday to Friday
In this entry‑level manufacturing position as a Production Associate you will perform weigh‑up or packaging duties within the production department. You will ensure the highest quality product at the lowest possible cost and meet customer specifications and delivery requirements in accordance with Avient policies and procedures.

- Obtain correct documentation for the batch and ensure the correct ingredients are delivered to the work area; if required, mix and weigh ingredients to meet recipe specifications.
- Set up and start weigh‑up or packaging machinery, checking all controls for adherence to operating and safety procedures.
- Notify appropriate personnel of any issues, problems or concerns in a timely manner.
- Safely and neatly process, batch off, screen, cut up, package and/or skid material to the correct size or container per customer specifications.
- Accurately supply or support Production Operators with appropriate materials and functions to keep all equipment operational.
- Perform all required machine cleaning.
- Complete and maintain required paperwork and documents.
- Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations. Maintain departmental housekeeping standards.
- High‑school diploma, GED or equivalent training and experience.
- Preferred work experience in an industrial operations environment.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions or procedure manuals.
- Strong mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and the ability to work with conversions across units such as weight, volume, density, distance, etc.).
- Requires standing and sitting for extended periods, talking and listening.
- Ability to walk and use hands; occasional bending, stooping, climbing ladders and stairs.
- May need to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
- Frequent communication and understanding of work instructions in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment with loud noise.
- Must detect and respond to safety alarms.
- Requires personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, safety shoes, hearing protection, hard hat and respiratory protection.
- Exposure to ordinary outdoor weather conditions.
- May be exposed occasionally to extreme heat, humidity, dust or fumes.
Final compensation within the stated range may vary based on background, knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
