Calibration/Metrology Technician

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled individual to join our team as a Calibration/Metrology Technician. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to work effectively with your hands. The position supports our robotics product line and requires onsite work for 40 hours a week.

Responsibilities
  • Calibrate electronic test measuring equipment and signal generating equipment to conform to set standards.
  • Test, calibrate, adjust, and maintain electromechanical, mechanical, optical, pneumatic, hydromechanical, and pressure-type measuring and indicating instruments.
  • Set up calibration sequences, methods, and procedures according to detailed specifications, blueprints, drawings, and requirements.
  • Disassemble, clean, repair, and replace defective parts of test equipment such as pressure gauges and tension meters.
  • Monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
Technician Support Career Stream
  • Provide technical support in areas such as production, operations, maintenance, safety, testing, process improvement, or product development.
  • Use schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, or defined plans to perform testing and troubleshooting on electronic or mechanical components, equipment, or systems.
  • Gather, maintain, format, compile, and manipulate technical data using established formulas and procedures, and perform detailed mathematical calculations.

Required Knowledge and Experience

Requires basic job knowledge of systems, techniques, and procedures obtained through prior work experience or education. Requires a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; may require vocational or technical education or certification in addition to prior work experience.
