Position
Shipping and Receiving Associate
Location:
North Haven, CT, United States
Shift: 1st shift, 09:00am - 05:30pm
Responsibilities- Ensure customer shipments are filled on time and in the correct quantities.
- Read, understand, and use Product Manufacturing Instructions (PMIs), Job‑Safety Analysis (JSA), and schedules to accomplish daily shipping and receiving tasks.
- Operate shipping and receiving computer systems, fork trucks, and associated equipment.
- Ensure inventory accuracy by performing basic math and maintaining an organized workspace.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with operations, engineering, sales, and quality.
- Maintain equipment and housekeeping within the work environment.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Ability to read, comprehend, and understand work instructions; perform basic math (add, subtract, multiply, divide) in all units of measure.
- Basic computer skills.
- Dangerous goods experience preferred.
- Operate fork truck, stock picker, electric hoist, scales, and label machines.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and complete forklift certification within 60 days of employment.
- Stand, walk, bend, reach, manipulate hands and fingers frequently; occasional stooping, crouching, and climbing.
- Wear a face respirator as required.
