CDL-A Dedicated Yard Jockey

A. Duie Pyle is seeking an experienced, motivated full-time Dedicated CDL-A Qualified Yard Jockey in North Haven. This role requires moving trucks from Yard to building and back and maneuvering trucks into loading or unloading positions as needed.

Earn $29.00 per hour

• Weekly pay every Friday via direct deposit – overtime after 40 hours
• Start time: 11:00am, Monday to Friday (possible 2 Saturdays a month)

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License
• Minimum 1 year of recent CDL-A experience, van type trailer preferred
• Previous Jockey or Switcher experience (preferred)
• Currently hold, or obtain, a non-exempt interstate DOT medical card
• Must be at least 21 years of age or older
• No more than three moving violations and/or accidents within the last three years, subject to review
• Ability to communicate effectively; must be able to read, write and speak English
• Must be able to obtain and maintain TSA security clearance

• Moving trailers around the terminal to various locations
• Maneuvering the truck into loading and/or unloading positions
• Visually inspecting trailers and/or trucks before and after moving each
• Connecting tractors to trailers
• Assisting with the unloading and loading of freight as needed
• Maintaining documentation of each trailer moved throughout the assigned shift
