Controller, Accounting, Financial Reporting

KBW Financial Staffing and Recruiting has partnered with a growing, privately held company is looking for a hands‑on Controller to join its leadership team and help build the next phase of its accounting function.

This is a great opportunity for a forward‑thinking Accounting Manager, Assistant Controller or early‑career Controller who wants more ownership and the opportunity to build rather than step into a highly established department.

• Help develop scalable processes and reporting as the company continues to grow
• Hands‑on role with significant ownership and autonomy

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong GAAP knowledge and full‑cycle accounting experience
• Quick Books Online experience
• Strong systems aptitude and interest in improving how accounting operates
• Process‑oriented and comfortable identifying problems and building solutions
• Experience with month‑end close, reconciliations and financial reporting
• Comfortable working in a smaller, growing company where you'll need to roll up your sleeves
• CPA preferred but not required
