Overview
Design Showroom Intern – This internship is designed to help you explore career opportunities at Riverhead Building Supply (RBS) while gaining hands-on experience and developing valuable professional skills.
Responsibilities- Showroom operations, customer service, and product knowledge
- Sample libraries, vendor relationships, and industry processes
- Leading manufacturers of cabinetry, hardware, appliances, countertops, moldings, and millwork
- Design and sales processes, including order entry and CRM documentation
- Building relationships with homeowners, architects, builders, contractors, and trade professionals
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Strong communication, organizational, and computer skills
- Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel; 20/20 Design or CAD experience is a plus
- A customer-focused mindset and professional demeanor
- Proactive, dependable, and enjoys problem-solving
- Interest in design, construction, or building a long-term career with RBS
Part Time, Full Time or Seasonal. Riverhead Building Supply is a leading building materials company with over 800 team members across Long Island, Connecticut, Rhode Island, and Massachusetts. We are seeking an enthusiastic Internship Design Showroom Assistant to join our team and grow with us.
For compliance purposes for RI transparency, the expected salary range is $18.00–$21.00 per hour. Compensation will be based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
