Job Description

Do you bring out the star in your students? Taylor Robinson Music, whose motto is "Learn to Play From the Heart," is looking for private music instructors who share this philosophy. We strive to make music lessons as accessible and affordable as possible, believing that music education is essential to making the world a better, happier place.

We are hiring private music instructors, especially for Guitar. While we do not have a brick‑and‑mortar studio in the North Kingstown area, we have students needing teachers ASAP.

Lessons can occur in the students' homes, in your own home or studio/rehearsal space, or via webcam. Though webcam requests are a small percentage of our student base, most prefer in‑person lessons, so local instructors who can host students or travel to the North Kingstown area are preferred.

You will be paid as an independent contractor between $20–$30 per hour, dependent on travel time, experience/education, and student retention. You have the freedom to set your own schedule, your own curriculum, and lesson plans, while we take care of advertising, marketing, SEO, and billing to allow you to focus on music.

Requirements:
Good with kids, love teaching, communicative and organized, on time for lessons. Formal music training is not mandatory, but a degree in music, enrollment in a music program, professional performing experience, or previous teaching experience is required.

Apply using:

COVID‑19 precautions:
While some are comfortable with webcam lessons, most expect in‑person lessons. Masks, hand sanitizing, and social distancing are required where applicable.
