We are seeking a highly skilled Maritime Field Engineer to bridge the gap between engineering and production in a fast-paced shipyard environment. This is a hands-on, high-impact role supporting the construction of complex vessels from concept through delivery.

Requirements & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marine, Mechanical, Structural Engineering, or equivalent experience
- Minimum 7 years of shipyard new-build experience
- At least 5 years in a craft management or supervisory role
- Proficiency in AutoCAD; familiarity with Ship Constructor or similar software
- Strong knowledge of piping, electrical, and structural vessel systems
- Ability to interpret and apply ABS and USCG regulations
- Proven ability to deliver projects on time and within budget
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Must Haves:
- Develop and continuously refine vessel build strategies to improve production efficiency
- Translate design intent into actionable field execution plans for production teams
- Lead real-time troubleshooting of discrepancies between design drawings and field conditions
- Oversee system routing validation for piping, electrical, and mechanical installations
- Maintain and update as-built drawings to reflect field modifications accurately
- Coordinate directly with craft labor and supervisors to ensure proper system installation sequencing
- Support commissioning activities with on-site technical expertise
- Identify and implement process improvements to reduce rework and optimize workflows
Preferred Background & Skills:
- Experience with NC nesting programs and template development
- Familiarity with shipyard production workflows and safety protocols
- Experience working on hybrid or electric vessel systems
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage drawing revisions and updates
- Background in material sourcing and procurement coordination
