ACCOUNTS RECIEVABLE MANAGER FINANCE DEPARTMENTResponsible for the overall office administration of the revenue collection function within the Tax Department. Ensures that all functions related to servicing the Finance Director and the public are carried out efficiently and professionally. Acquires and maintains the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to oversee all aspects of tax and miscellaneous billing processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Exercises considerable independence and judgment in managing the Town’s accounts receivable activities within legal parameters. Prepares, reviews, and maintains various systems, reports, documentation, and records related to revenue accounting and cash handling.
Oversees the organization and execution of the annual tax sale in accordance with State Law, including preparation of tax-reverted property advertisements and tax title assignment documents for recording. Supervises the preparation of delinquent notices and assists the Town Solicitor and Finance Director in the preparation of claims for collection and bankruptcy matters.
QualificationsGraduation from four-year college or university with considerable experience in accounting and/or tax collections, including experience in municipal accounting, supervisory and computer skills, or equivalent combination of related education and experience.
Salary Range$59,488- $70,361 , plus benefits
