Position SummaryThales has a vacancy for a Manufacturing Controller to be in charge of plant (personalization center) financials: participating in month‑end close activities, ensuring accurate financial data and inventory valuation, preparing on‑time KPI reports, leading budget and forecast processes at plant level. Working closely with plant management team and corporate manufacturing controlling, you will play a critical role in driving financial discipline, operational efficiency, and informed decision‑making within the manufacturing environment.
KeyAreas of Responsibility
- Preparation of manufacturing related journal entries (facilities and indirect cost reallocation, inventory, personnel variances reclassification, accruals).
- Manufacturing expenses (manex) and absorption analysis and correction journals if necessary.
- Material variances (PPV, IVA, Scrap/Obsolete) follow‑up and analysis and correction journals if necessary.
- Inventory valuation – variance analysis and inventory reclassification as per corporate guidelines.
- KPIs reports for Plant Management.
- Monthly closing package for corporate manufacturing controller, including volumes, headcount/productivity, inventory, manex gap analysis and Perso P&L.
- Ad‑hoc reports and analysis.
- Leading yearly plant budget exercise (on top of Manex including Facilities, Local IT, Capex of the plant).
- Presentation of the budget and load in Anaplan of validated submission.
- Leading manufacturing rolling forecasts exercises (several cycles during the year).
- Follow‑up on actuals vs budget/forecast and gap analysis.
- Ensure standard costing principles: calculation of hourly rates and update of standard cost in local ERP (Oracle).
- Maintain other financial data set‑up in Oracle (direct and indirect cost centers, allocation keys for facilities, IT and indirect).
- Point of contact for Regional BU controller regarding cost of cards personalized in perso center.
- Manufacturing cost control: validate Purchase Request and challenge if necessary.
- Financial Business Partner for local management team: prepare, present and explain the numbers within financial analysis.
- Capex preparation (including payback calculation) and follow‑up of plant capex (actuals and forecast).
- Ensure fixed assets valuation, on‑time put in service and correct depreciation; lead fixed assets count and manage write‑down or impairment if necessary.
- Facilitate Stock counts/Asset verification.
- Ensure financial guidelines and policies are respected.
- Point of contact for external and internal auditors (incl. internal control) for areas of responsibility within manufacturing controlling.
- BA in Finance (or related field) with 5+ years of experience in controlling OR (or related field) with 3+ years of experience in controlling; experience in manufacturing controlling highly appreciated.
- Analytical, problem‑solving, attention to detail, time management, work under deadlines.
- Excellent communication, team player, integrity. Knowledge of manufacturing controlling (standard costing) and accounting principles, knowledge of financial processes of Thales, MS Office, understanding of ERP system, experience in Oracle and Power BI.
- Occasional travel required.

Total Target Compensation (TTC) market range for this position, inclusive of annual base salary and variable compensation target, is between 88,837. USD annually.
