Job Description & How to Apply Below

At REGENT, we’re on a mission to revolutionize regional transportation between coastal cities. We’re not just building vehicles, we’re creating a new category of transportation: the seaglider. These groundbreaking wing‑in‑ground‑effect craft travel just above the water’s surface, combining the speed of an airplane with the low operating costs of a boat. Capable of 180 mph over 180 miles on today’s battery tech (and up to 400 miles with next‑gen batteries), seagliders will unlock fast, affordable, and sustainable coastal transit for passengers and cargo—connecting cities, islands, and communities like never before.

Role Overview

REGENT Defense is the business unit within REGENT focused on our efforts in the defense market, including business development, contract proposal, capture, and execution; international engagement; and capability development.

As a member of the Mission Assurance team, you’ll work with partners across the Department of Defense, Homeland Security, and international Ministries of Defense to define and deliver maritime capability. You will plan and execute multiple reports, demonstrations, and exercises for U.S. and international defense and government stakeholders, managing contract deliverables and ensuring high‑quality, on‑time delivery of key contractual reports, demonstrations, and analyses.

Additionally, you will oversee and implement compliance programs—including financial and regulatory reporting, safety management systems, facility clearance procedures, and site security protocols—in accordance with government and contractual requirements. You will work with the REGENT engineering team and other cross‑functional teams to drive capabilities that meet defense customers’ mission needs.

    • Support proposal development efforts by contributing technical content, coordinating inputs from engineering teams, and ensuring compliance with solicitation requirements.
  • Compliance & Regulatory Oversight
    • Work with cross‑functional teams to identify and oversee government compliance programs, keeping up to date with changes to federal contractor requirements.
    • Collaborate with the IT department to implement and maintain cybersecurity protocols in accordance with NIST 800‑171, CMMC, and other DoD requirements.
    • Work with finance and accounting to develop and submit financial compliance reports, including SF‑1408, DCAA audits, and cost accounting standards.
    • Partner with the test team to ensure proper documentation, verification, and validation of performance requirements for government stakeholders.
    • Spearhead the security clearance program, maintaining authorization to handle CUI documents and the future ability to handle classified material.
  • Technical Coordination & Requirements Management
    • Collaborate with cross‑disciplinary teams—performance, test, structures, manufacturing engineers; test crews and personnel—to translate mission requirements into engineering and performance‑based deliverables.
    • Support definition and decomposition of government requirements across the vehicle system and subsystems.
    • Assist in coordination of technical reviews, design reviews, and customer demonstrations.
    • Track and manage technical action items, risks, and issues affecting program delivery.
    • Continuously evaluate, refine, and improve designs based on test data and real‑world defense feedback.
