Machine Operator

Headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina, Hayward also has facilities in Tennessee, Arizona, and Rhode Island as well as Canada, Spain, France, Australia, and China. This role is based in North Kingstown, RI. The Machine Operator maintains and operates either the Wave Solder, Selective Solder, or Conformal Coating machines.

• Daily/hourly maintenance of the Wave Solder, Selective Solder, or Conformal Coating machines
• Ensures PCBs are fed from the conveyor into the wave solder machine
• Receives PCBs as they exit the wave solder machine
• Inspects, trim leads, check for solder shorts and cut PCBs
• Sorts PCBs for next inspection steps
• Re-Inspects PCBs and places into tote bins for testing
• Maintains cleanliness of work area
• Hand soldering of components to boards
• Keen attention to detail is required.
• Report to Lead/Supervisor regularly, keep them updated on production activities and progress.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Minimum 6 mos. production work experience preferably from within a manufacturing industry.
• An electo-mechanical aptitude is desirable
• Ability to work cross-functionally with individuals and teams to achieve dept/production goals
• Strive for continuous process improvement in daily activities
• Ability to follow through on tasks assigned to completion
• Ability to work with a diverse workforce
• Must be able to stand at work station for up to 10 hours
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
• High School Diploma or GED required
