• Interpret construction drawings with basic mathematical ability
• Complete work assignments using company drawings, test documents, technical manuals, shipyard procedures and shop machinery
• Fabricate, assemble, and install all light gauge metalwork including air-conditioned ductwork, lockers, cabinets, prefabricated bulkheads, doors, furniture, and formica
• Perform joiner work, fabricate non‑structural bulkhead doors, and stainless steel trim
• Work conditions may include entry in restricted/confined spaces

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent OR 2 plus years of related technical experience
• Available to work all shifts
• Ability to work at heights, confined spaces and extreme temperature conditions as required
• Individuals must possess their own basic hand tools

Preferred:

• Sheet metal/metal fabrication experience and/or relevant training
• Experience working in the construction industry or a manufacturing environment
• Vocational, Technical and Community College or Apprentice program education
• Military/Navy experience
  
  Automotive/auto body or HVAC experience

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Collaborative team player, able to meet organizational goals
