Overview
Electric Boat - Quonset Point is seeking Deck Plate Detail Planners who are ready to work in a fast-paced production environment performing planning functions in support of Quonset Point Operations departments. Candidates must be highly motivated, resourceful, self-starters who are detail and task oriented and able to prioritize multiple responsibilities and interface with multiple organizations.
Responsibilities- Maintenance & Development of Work Instructions using Teamcenter, & PCM/EWP
- Incorporation of design changes (CRs/CNs), LOA revisions, problem sheets, work transfers, etc.
- Adherence to planning processes & procedures with continuous improvement in mind
- Collaboration with peers and supervision for the development of new processes and procedures
- Executing department goals related to quality and attainment
- Monitoring construction schedules
- Performing tactical problem solving
- Attending meetings with prepared and attentive answers
- Collaboration with internal & external stakeholders such as operations, engineering, program office, advanced planning, & production control planning
- Detailed problem resolution with an emphasis on quality
This position is 100% on-site located at our Quonset Point and East Greenwich facilities in RI.
This department covers the following disciplines:
Mechanical, Pipe, Structural, Sheet metal, and/or Electrical.
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- 2+ years of experience in Trade, shipyard, military, planning/ production control, design, inventory, scheduling, project management, customer service, or logistics
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite:
Outlook, Powerpoint, Excel & Word - Experience utilizing blueprints & technical documents
Preferred:
- Bachelor's or Associate's degree
- Experience in EB Planning, Operations (trades), Engineering, Design, or Program Office
- Knowledge of the following business systems:
Teamcenter, NX, ARTEMIS, PCM/EWP MRP, & JCALS
- Ability and desire to learn
