Production Line Lead

Cargill is seeking a Production Line Lead to oversee daily operations in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. You will coordinate line staff, monitor throughput and quality, and ensure adherence to safety, GMP, and food safety standards. Responsibilities include starting up and shutting down equipment, resolving minor line issues, maintaining accurate production records, and collaborating with maintenance and quality teams. You will train and coach operators, drive continuous improvement, and support a culture of safety, integrity, and inclusive teamwork while helping Cargill deliver safe, sustainable food products worldwide.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations of the production line to meet safety, quality, and output targets.
• Coordinate and direct line staff, assign tasks, and adjust staffing as needed.
• Monitor product quality, enforce GMP and food safety standards, and support audits.
• Perform line start-up, changeovers, and shutdown procedures.
• Identify and resolve minor equipment and process issues, escalating when needed.
• Maintain accurate production, downtime, and quality records.
• Train, coach, and mentor operators on procedures and safety practices.
• Collaborate with maintenance, quality, and logistics teams to optimize flow.
• Support and lead continuous improvement and waste reduction initiatives.
• Promote a culture of safety, integrity, and inclusive teamwork on the floor.
