Overview
PQA/NQC Quality Control Analyst is responsible for performing the following functions on contractor furnished material (CFM) and equipment including, but not limited to:
- Review supplier provided certifications for adherence to purchase order requirements
- Review supplier approved procedures
- Review supplier test records
- Review supplier weld and NDT records
- Processing of material receipts though Oracle, MQS, MRPII, SPARS, and Appl Core systems
- Demonstrate competency in understanding Electric Boat procedures and policies
- Coordinate and work with Supervisors and Inspectors on proper handling of procedures, inspection plans and work flows
- Work with Supplier Quality and Engineering as needed
- Adjudicate material deficiencies through the ER/CR process and work to engineering dispositions
- Review and understand SSP’s, SP’s, MDD’s, SDD’s, Company Policies and Procedures
- Train new hires in various commodities
- Lead independent research for lessons learned
- Identify and implement ways to improve and streamline job functions and responsibilities
- Maintain department goals for participation and implementation of process improvements
Required:
- 4+ years as a Quality Control Analyst
- Associate’s degree or higher
- Knowledge of MS office, Oracle ERP, Excel, Applcore
- Applicant must be able to obtain a DoD security clearance as a condition of employment
Preferred:
- Previous experience as a Quality Control Analyst performing vendor material inspection
- Project lead experience
- Associate’s degree or higher
- Military service
- 5+ years as a Quality Control Analyst
- Must possess basic mathematical, communication and interpersonal skills
- Applicant will be required to work in a collaborative and team environment and meet organizational and department goals
- Applicant must be able to interpret technical manuals, shipyard procedures, test documents, blueprints, diagrams, and VPAR’s
- Must be able to navigate Email and MS Office programs effectively.
