Laboratory Technician (entry level) - Eurofins Environment Testing Northeast

• Compensation: USD 19 - USD 20 - hourly

Full-time entry level position Monday
- Friday 12:30pm- 9:00pm

This is an entry level position, those looking to gain experience in a laboratory setting without a 4 year degree encouraged to apply.

• Retrieving samples from Sample Control for analysis.
• Performing sample preparation which may include, but is not limited to, a combination of the following methods:
  Spike and trace samples, Prepare reagents, Bottle samples, Prepare concentrations, Separation, Sonication, Preparing water on soil samples for metal analysis, Performing digestions with concentrated acids, Learning the Eurofins Laboratory Information Management System, Learning the Mercury Analysis, Resolving discrepancies and anomalies to ensure samples are properly labeled.
• Preparing general laboratory paperwork such as recording analysis results, tracking samples, bench sheets, and laboratory logbooks.
• Washing laboratory glassware to prepare for next day’s samples.
• Stocking laboratory supplies.
• Cleaning work area(s) to maintain a safe working environment.
• Assisting other laboratory areas as needed.

• Comfortable with a fast paced time sensitive laboratory.
• Ability to use calculator/mathematical formulas and concepts.
• Ability to use TALS.
• Ability to complete work within time and quality constraints.
• Can work independently following written or verbal instructions.
• Cooperate and coordinate both orally and in writing.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• High school Chemistry coursework preferred.
• Basic laboratory experience preferred.
• Previous production-oriented work helpful (awareness and ability to meet deadlines).
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Samples will be in coolers packed in ice.
• Professional working proficiency in English is a requirement, including the ability to read, write and speak in English.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
