The Laboratory Technician I will use general laboratory methods, techniques, equipment, and instrumentation in compliance with Eurofins Environment Testing America’s Quality Assurance programs and standard operating procedures, supporting laboratory operations through general maintenance of laboratory and supply storage areas, equipment, instruments, and supplies.
Full‑time entry level position – Monday to Friday, 12:30 pm to 9:00 pm Candidates living within a commutable distance of North Kingstown, RI are encouraged to apply. Compensation is $18–$20 per hour (depends on experience) plus eligibility for benefits.
This is an entry level position. Those looking to gain experience in a laboratory setting without a 4‑year degree are encouraged to apply.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Retrieving samples from Sample Control for analysis.
- Performing sample preparation, which may include: aliquoting, spiking and tracing, preparing reagents, bottling, preparing concentrations, separation, and sonication.
- Setting up liquid racks.
- Resolving discrepancies and anomalies to ensure samples are properly labeled.
- Preparing general laboratory paperwork such as recording analysis results, tracking samples, bench sheets, and laboratory logbooks.
- Washing laboratory glassware to prepare for the next day’s samples.
- Stocking laboratory supplies.
- Cleaning work areas to maintain a safe working environment.
- Assisting other laboratory areas as needed.
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, time‑sensitive laboratory.
- Ability to use a calculator and basic mathematical formulas and concepts.
- Ability to use TALS.
- Ability to complete work within time and quality constraints.
- Capability to work independently following written or verbal instructions.

- High school chemistry coursework preferred.
- Basic laboratory experience preferred.
- Previous production‑oriented work helpful (awareness of meeting deadlines).
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds; samples will be in coolers packed in ice.
- Professional working proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking).
- Perform other duties as assigned.
