Accountant / Controller — Construction & Manufacturing
Location: 3431 N. Bruce Street, North Las Vegas, NV 89030 (on-site )
Schedule: Full-time, ~40 hours/week, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM Compensation: $80,000–$100,000 per year (salaried), depending on experience

The RoleWe're looking for an experienced accounting professional to take ownership of our company's financials. This is a higher-level accounting role — not data entry. Our day-to-day bookkeeping (A/P, A/R) and payroll are already handled by staff and outside services, so your focus will be on the general ledger, financial reporting, job costing, cash-flow forecasting, inventory and manufacturing cost accounting, and overall financial accuracy.
A strong command of the general ledger and construction accounting is essential. One of your first priorities will be leading the transition of our books from Sage Business Works to Quick Books Online and refining our reporting and processes going forward.
Responsibilities- Own the general ledger and manage the month-end and year-end close
- Prepare and analyze financial statements for review by our third-party CPA
- Oversee and review the A/P, A/R, and payroll functions (handled by staff and third-party services) for accuracy and proper coding
- Manage job costing and work-in-progress (WIP) / percentage-of-completion reporting across active projects
- Perform account reconciliations (bank, credit card, and balance sheet accounts)
- Build and maintain rolling cash-flow forecasts, tracking project billings, receivables, payables, and material purchases to anticipate cash needs and guide spending decisions
- Lead financial forecasting and budgeting with the General Manager, using project schedules
Manage inventory accounting, including valuation, cost of goods sold, and reconciliation to physical counts - Maintain fixed asset and depreciation schedules for equipment, machinery, and other capital assets
- Track and analyze manufacturing costs (materials, labor, and overhead) to support pricing and margin decisions
- Oversee AIA billings and certified payroll compliance
- Lead the migration of our accounting records from Sage Business Works to Quick Books Online
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and federal/Nevada tax codes; coordinate with our external CPA
- Recommend and implement improvements to accounting processes and internal controls
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance ; an Associate's degree (AA) with strong relevant experience will also be considered
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including full ownership of the general ledger
- Construction accounting experience, including job costing and WIP / percentage-of-completion reporting
- Experience building and managing cash-flow forecasts
- Manufacturing accounting experience, including inventory valuation, cost of goods sold, and fixed asset/depreciation management
- Experience with AIA billings and AIA / Certified Payroll
- Strong financial reporting, reconciliation, and analysis skills
- Working knowledge of federal and Nevada tax codes as they relate to GAAP
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly advanced Excel
- Strict attention to detail and a team-first attitude
- Quick Books Online experience, especially with software migrations or conversions
- Experience with Sage Business Works
- Experience with construction management software such as Procore, Kahua, or Textura
- Background in the construction or manufacturing industry
