Job Overview
The College of Southern Nevada appreciates your interest in employment at our growing institution. This position is located at the North Las Vegas Campus, but candidates must be flexible, willing, and able to rotate campuses on a six‑month basis as business needs dictate.
ScheduleWeekly hours:
Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Some extended hours may be required during peak periods.
- Process payments, answer student inquiries, and process departmental deposits.
- Balance the cash drawer daily and perform daily reconciliation using Peoplesoft data.
- Prepare and process daily records of deposits, and transfer records to partnering departments.
- Assist with quarterly audits for external departments and retain documentation regarding audits.
- Maintain logs of bank deposits and money exchange orders to armored carrier.
- Receive, process, and apply third‑party vouchers.
- Provide customer service to students, departments, and vendors, applying knowledge to individual circumstances.
- Follow defined guidelines and procedures, exhibiting professionalism, attention to detail, and a positive work attitude.
- Maintain consistent and reliable attendance.
Graduation from high school or equivalent education and three years of progressively responsible clerical accounting experience inclusive of accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and related duties; or one year as an Accounting Assistant II in Nevada State service; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred:
Experience working in a diverse/multicultural student body and workforce.
Must be able to work with cash, balance a cash drawer daily, and adapt to new procedures.
Background check may be required.
Salary and BenefitsStarting Salary:
Grade 27, Step1 – $46,207.44.
* Position contingent upon ongoing and available funding.
