Administrative Assistant III – Disability Resource Center (DRC) / Counseling & Psychological Services (CAPS)
Reports to the Director of DRC/CAPS at the North Las Vegas CSN campus. Provides comprehensive administrative support to the DRC and CAPS departments, coordinating operations, events, financials, and testing procedures.
Responsibilities- Maintain consistent and reliable attendance and support the Director in managing departmental needs.
- Assist with special events and projects, preparing detailed reports, and coordinating workshops, orientations, and other Student Affairs events.
- Coordinate meetings, manage correspondence, maintain calendars, and oversee complex administrative projects.
- Gather, organize, maintain, and compile records, reports, statistical data, and program documentation to support departmental objectives.
- Oversee financial budgets, support budget development, monitor spending trends, and manage financial documents including contracts, operating expenses, and P‑Card transactions.
- Coordinate and support DRC testing operations, including exam administration, proctoring, secure handling of testing materials, and training of staff and service providers.
- Provide lead direction to student workers and part‑time service providers, including training, scheduling, onboarding, and performance monitoring.
- Maintain office equipment, coordinate with vendors for supplies and services, and manage daily office operations.
- Demonstrate proficiency with database systems such as Workday, Canvas, People Soft, AIM DRC, Titanium, and other scheduling programs.
- Maintain confidentiality, exercise sound judgment with sensitive information, and handle complex confidential interactions professionally.
- Respond to inquiries, provide information on DRC/CAPS programs, and support overall program and college operations.
- High‑school diploma or equivalent and three years of progressively responsible relevant work experience, including record maintenance, customer relations, or financial/statistical documentation.
- Or one year as an Administrative Assistant II in Nevada State service, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2 years of higher‑education experience or an Associate’s degree.
- Proven experience with HIPAA, FERPA or similar federal/state mandates.
- Experience with case‑management software and/or student information systems.
- Experience working with diverse college student populations.
- Proficiency in Workday and support of budgets, purchasing, travel, scheduling, and administrative operations.
- Full‑time, Monday‑Friday 8am to 5pm.
- Starting salary Grade
27, Step1: $46,207.44 (subject to funding). - Benefits: 19.25% PERS retirement plan, vacation & sick leave, 12 paid holidays, educational benefits, health insurance options, tuition discounts, and employee purchase programs.
