Job Overview
The College of Southern Nevada is hiring a Biology faculty member to teach transferable, entry‑level lectures and/or laboratories for majors and non‑majors biology courses.
Responsibilities- Develop syllabi and course materials as directed by the Lead Faculty Member and/or Lab Coordinator.
- Teach General Biology lectures and/or laboratory sessions.
- Evaluate student mastery of the skills and competencies required by course outcomes.
- Master’s degree in Biological Sciences or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
- Experience teaching General Biology lectures.
- Proficiency with educational technologies such as Learning Management Systems and PowerPoint.
- Ability and willingness to use email for official communications.
- Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
- Experience teaching General Biology laboratories or working in a laboratory setting.
- Proficiency with educational technologies such as Learning Management Systems and PowerPoint.
- Ability and willingness to use email for official communications.
- $925.00 per lecture credit hour (credits vary by semester).
- $57.81 per hour for laboratory instruction.
- Exempt position;
Full‑Time Equivalent 15.0%.
