Part‑Time Slot Technology Instructor
The College of Southern Nevada invites applications for a Part‑Time Slot Technology Instructor to teach Slot Technology courses and support laboratory activities.
Responsibilities- Lecture and/or provide lab instruction for Slot Technology courses, including slot machine systems, electronics, and troubleshooting.
- Demonstrate and assist students with hands‑on lab procedures related to slot machines and electronic gaming equipment, ensuring safety precautions are observed.
- Develop syllabi and course materials; instruct students in accordance with established curriculum standards, industry practices, and program objectives.
- Independently evaluate student mastery of technical skills and competencies aligned with course outcomes and implement strategies to support student learning needs.
- Provide advisement to students regarding academic progression and career pathways within the gaming and electronics industry.
- Maintain and support laboratory equipment, including slot machines and associated electronic systems, to ensure effective instructional delivery.
- Attend staff meetings and participate in recruitment and outreach activities as requested.
- 5 years of work‑related experience OR an Applied Science degree in Engineering Technologies or equivalent degree.
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited College/University.
- 1‑year full‑time teaching experience.
- Experience working with a diverse/multicultural student body and/or workforce.
- Knowledge of computer classroom technologies.
- Knowledge of Canvas or other Learning Management Systems.
Engineering Technology courses are taught at North Las Vegas, Henderson, and Western Campuses, in‑person or online, and are scheduled during the day, evenings, and weekends. Compensation is $925.00 per lecture credit hour, with credits varying by semester. Applications are considered on an as‑needed basis determined by course availability.
