What our office does:
Our Program instructs students in theoretical principles of audio technology and trains them for practical understanding of hardware and software used in audio recording and live sound.
This position aids our students and staff by completing the following duties:
- Monitor Open Lab hours in the Computer Music Classroom/Lab
- Organize, maintain, and inventory audio equipment
- Set up classrooms and audio equipment for classes and activities
- Assist with housekeeping and general organization of work spaces
- Perform minor office tasks and other related duties as assigned
- Assist with maintaining and updating audio software as needed
- Provide support to students using audio equipment and classroom resources

Required Qualifications:
A successful applicant will demonstrate the following qualities and competencies:
- Basic understanding of audio fundamentals, terminology, and audio recording hardware and software
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to provide support to students and users
- Strong work ethic, dependability, and willingness to learn
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong computer skills and familiarity with audio equipment
Enrollment in the CSN Audio Recording Program preferred

To maintain eligibility, students must:
Show a financial aid eligible major (degree or certificate program) declared with the CSN Office of the Registrar. Meet Financial Aid Satisfactory Progress after each semester/term to qualify for employment within the academic year. Show degree compliant enrollment for each semester/term for which funding is desired. Be enrolled in at least 6 credits and meet additional eligibility requirements of the Silver State Regents Service Program for summer semester/term employment.
* Student’s cannot work another part-time position within NSHE at the same time they are employed as a CSN College Work Study student.
