College Work Study Student - Early Childhood Education - Fall 2026

Position Summary

The ECE Lab Program is an accredited early childhood education program providing high‑quality preschool and childcare for children of students, faculty, and the general public, ages 2–5 years. This position will assist program personnel with the implementation of developmentally appropriate curriculum for children 24 months to five years of age.

• Assist with the implementation of developmentally appropriate curriculum for children 24 months‑five years.
• Work with children individually or in small groups on pre‑academic and academic skills such as reading, literacy, math, and preschool content.
• Assist the classroom teacher or program supervisor with other duties as assigned.
• Support students pursuing degrees in Education or Early Childhood Education.

• Current TB test clearance.
• Background check required.
• Pediatric and adult CPR and First Aid certification.
• Interact with children without using physical punishment or any form of psychological abuse (REQUIRED).
• Recognize health and safety hazards and protect children from harm (REQUIRED).
• Positively communicate with children, staff and families (REQUIRED).
• Encourage and provide children with a variety of opportunities for learning and social experiences (PREFERRED).

Hourly rate: $14.00, up to 20 hours per week. Eligibility for a Work‑Study Award and support for students pursuing a degree or certificate program in Early Childhood Education, Education, Nursing, Dental, or EMT knowledge, skills, and abilities. Must maintain financial aid eligibility and meet degree‑compliant enrollment requirements.
